Contemporary Art Miami
One of the best aspects of using ZabCab in Miami is the easy access to high quality contemporary art. Head out to the Perez Art Museum Miami, a modern and contemporary art museum dedicated to collecting and exhibiting international art of the 20th and 21st centuries, and check out the many thought provoking exhibitions on view. Make sure to explore the intricate works featured in No Boundaries: Aboriginal Australian Contemporary Abstract Painting.
Our favorite pieces include the wonderful mesmerizing patterns of Aboriginal painter Warlimpirrnga Tjapaltjarri who has recently been profiled in a moving review by the New York Times, and the dense abstractions of the late Tommy Mitchell whose paintings depict the Tjukurrpa (dreamings) and stories of his mother’s and father’s country.

South Florida Italian Culture & Heritage Festival
If you find yourself in Hollywood, Florida and are in the mood for a spectacular festival celebrating South Florida’s many connections to all 20 Italian regions then you are in luck! The South Florida Italian Culture & Heritage Festival (“SoFlaFeast”) is launching on October 11th at the bucolic ArtsPark at Young Circle in downtown Hollywood.
The SoFlaFeast will be produced by Anthony Paparella of Hollywood’s own Gino’s Market and Joe Bevelacqua of Cobra Joe Productions. There will be a wide variety of activities to enjoy throughout the day at the SoFlaFeast, including traditional Italian games, such as Bocce and vendors ranging from food to arts and jewelry. Recent Doo Wop Hall of Fame inductees, the Mystics, will headline a crowd pleasing lineup of nationally recognized artists. One of the very best things about SoFlaFeast is that proceeds will directly benefit Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital (JDCH), a leading pediatric hospital and home to South Broward County’s only pediatric trauma center.
